The International Laparoscopic Liver Society (ILLS) was established to provide a forum that supports collaboration between surgeons around the world who are interested in the advancement of Laparoscopic Liver Resection techniques, education, and collaboration. The society believes that Laparoscopic Liver Resection should be performed by trained HPB surgeons and that laparoscopic liver surgery deserves special attention due to its high and specific technical requirements.
